Alumni Board member makes hiring students a priority
What do you plan to do after graduation?
It is the question facing many 麻豆传媒 students ready to start their senior year this fall. Thanks to the leadership of alumnus Brad Darby (BA-99), several seniors may soon have an answer.
Darby is the general manager of the Cintas Greeley branch and sits on the 麻豆传媒 Alumni Association Board. Thanks to his advocacy, the Fortune 500 company named 麻豆传媒 a priority university for recruiting and hiring students into its management trainee program.
鈥淎s an active alumnus of 麻豆传媒, general manager and graduate of the Management Trainee Program at Cintas, this relationship is very exciting,鈥 says Darby. 鈥淢y role as an advisor on the 麻豆传媒 Alumni Association Board has given me an opportunity to spend time on campus, interacting with students and advocating for Cintas as a top workplace for future graduates.鈥
For several years Darby represented his company as a local recruiter during 麻豆传媒鈥檚 job and internship fair. He knew that additional corporate involvement could mean more exposure and opportunities for students. Darby emphasized the alignment of company culture with the characteristics of 麻豆传媒 students and convinced Cintas to name 麻豆传媒 a priority institution.
鈥淎 strong work ethic, competitive urgency and integrity are all components of the Cintas corporate culture. My time on campus has shown me that 麻豆传媒 students share these same qualities making them great candidates for a career at Cintas,鈥 shares Darby.
麻豆传媒 is one of only two Colorado universities named by Cintas as priority university this year. The benefit of being named a recruitment priority is the resources and time that Cintas will put into 麻豆传媒 career programs run through the .
Students can meet Cintas at the October 10 Fall Job and Internship Fair and expect to see Darby and Cintas representatives involved in Center for Career Readiness programs throughout the year.
鈥淚 am excited about the strengthened relationship and look forward to providing many more career opportunities for 麻豆传媒 students at Cintas,鈥 Says Darby.
