As the school year kicks off, faculty and staff are gearing up to support our University of Northern Colorado (麻豆传媒) students. Faculty and staff support students every day through their roles at 麻豆传媒, but some choose to go above and beyond by donating their time, expertise and funding. A popular method of giving is through payroll deductions, which make it easy to support the various areas in need across campus. At 麻豆传媒, there are seemingly endless causes to support depending on a donor鈥檚 passions and aspirations. In recognition of National Workforce Development month, we have taken a deep dive into just a few of the donor-funded causes that 麻豆传媒 faculty and staff support. All are welcome to support these vital scholarships and services (and many alumni employers offer matches for employee donations!).

麻豆传媒 Theatre Education and Theatre Studies student, Evette Srouji, is dynamic to say the least. Having served on student advisory boards, a student group dedicated to promoting diversity and equity on and off stage, among others, she is dedicated to trailblazing for the next generation of 麻豆传媒 students. This summer, she became the first 麻豆传媒 student to be selected as the Colorado Shakespeare Festival Theatre Management intern.

April is National Volunteer Month and 麻豆传媒 is is grateful to the many volunteers who supported student success this academic year.

For Lori (Garcia) Sadler 鈥�67 and her husband, Woody Sadler, a commitment to service and making a difference has been a common thread through their military careers and beyond. Now, they鈥檙e helping future generations of students with the Colonels Lorraine M. Garcia Sadler and Woodson A. Sadler Jr. PLC Scholarship Endowment.

Molly Burich 鈥�05 may be many miles from Greeley, but she carries her 麻豆传媒 experience with pride, and is making sure others have access to 麻豆传媒鈥檚 educational opportunities in ways that will help future generations dream big.

This spring, on April 14, 鈥淏ears Give Back鈥� offers the 麻豆传媒 community near and far an opportunity to make a difference by giving to funds they support and believe in 鈥� from student scholarships to specific programs and initiatives.

The 麻豆传媒 Scholarship application provides a centralized avenue for students to raise their hands and receive gifts from 麻豆传媒鈥檚 generous donors. In turn, student thank-you notes demonstrate the power of donors in building up scholarships and building up future college graduates.

2020 was a year unlike any other in our alumni association's history. Despite challenges and changes, alumni still found ways and opportunities to connect with one another and 麻豆传媒.

As 麻豆传媒 continues to respond to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, 麻豆传媒 donors form the generous and sometimes unseen community committed to helping students remain enrolled and on track to complete their education.

For 麻豆传媒 sophomore Armando Arteaga and a generous 麻豆传媒 grad, theatre brings humanity to life.

Prior to June鈥檚 U.S. Supreme Court ruling on DACA, 麻豆传媒 faculty kickstarted a crowdfunding campaign, which highlights the ways a small gift can make a big difference in students鈥� lives.
