DREAMers at Â鶹´«Ã½
A DREAMer is a student who is undocumented or who has deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA). There have been various efforts that allow DREAMers to access a quality and affordable education.
The University of Northern Colorado creates opportunities for DREAMers to successfully obtain a degree at Â鶹´«Ã½.
How to Apply to Â鶹´«Ã½
When you apply to Â鶹´«Ã½ as a DREAMer, Undocumented, or DACA student:
- Apply to Â鶹´«Ã½ online by starting a Bear App, and select the undergraduate or graduate option to begin.
- Fill out the application and when prompted to select citizenship status, choose "Nonresident/non-citizen."
- Then select yes for the "I am a DREAMer, undocumented or DACA student..." portion.

Funding and Costs
We highly encourage DREAMers to also fill out Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Universal Scholarship Application by the priority deadline to take advantage of the .
ASSET
DREAMers who meet requirements under the Colorado ASSET Bill can receive in-state tuition to attend a public Colorado university.
Your enrollment coach will send you the ASSET form to fill out after you graduate from high school.
College Opportunity Fund
The provides in-state students with a stipend of $104 per credit hour. COF, in tandem with Â鶹´«Ã½'s institutional aid, eases financial barriers that may exist for DREAMers.

Â鶹´«Ã½ Application for Financial Aid
Â鶹´«Ã½ has an institutional aid package for qualified ASSET students. Aid is awarded based on student need and family income. There are two forms of aid: one for students living off-campus and another for those living on-campus.

Â鶹´«Ã½ is also committed to supporting DREAMers beyond their financial needs.

Our Cultural Centers provide support services delivered in a personal manner to promote the academic success of all students.
Dreamer Engagement Program
First-year students have the opportunity to build a network of support through the DREAMer Engagement Program.
Dreamer Zone
DREAMer Zone increases attendees knowledge of terminology and policy affecting DREAMers and their families and build awareness around experiences of DREAMers.
