is one of the holiest days of the year in Jerusalem. Its central themes are atonement and repentance as it is believed this is a period of time when they are closest to God. This is a day-long fast with introspective prayer, often spending a full day in a synagogue. Afterwards, it is a time for festivities and celebration with after-fast meals and rejoicing.
During this time which begins the evening of Wednesday, September 15, and ends on the evening of Thursday, September 16, 2021, please remember that our students, faculty, and staff may observe this time and may refrain from school and work.
