While the has evolved over the years with our changing world, the one constant has been that ‘it remains the one place on Earth where all the world’s nations can gather together, discuss common problems, and find shared solutions that benefit all of humanity’. Today, the UN’s membership includes 193 member states. United Nations Day will be celebrated with the annual under the theme ‘Building Back Together for Peace and Prosperity’ which is a ‘call to strengthen international cooperation in the interest of both nations and peoples, for a more peaceful and prosperous future for all’. United Nations Association of the USA’s 2021 theme of ‘’ reflects the impact the COVID-19 pandemic had across the globe and a reminder that global challenges cannot be tackled by the United States alone. An advocacy organization of committed Americans with a mission of supporting the United Nations and its agencies. A primary focus of this organization is on diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion to ensure members and stakeholders feel valued and empowered.
