Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a way of thinking about teaching and learning that helps give all students an equal opportunity to succeed. This approach offers flexibility in the ways students access material, engage with it and show what they know. This webinar series provides an introduction to UDL for Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty.

Introduction to Universal Design for Learning: How We Embraced UDL in Our Classrooms

Join three Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty for a discussion of how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) improved their teaching and created a more engaging classroom for all students. Panelists will discuss their own experiences teaching before and after embracing UDL. Participants will join smaller breakout sessions for a more in depth presentation based on their personal experience and readiness for incorporating UDL into their teaching practice.

Â鶹´«Ã½ students enter our classrooms with both visible and non-visible disabilities; it’s important that instructors understand how the classroom environment we create impacts our students with disabilities both negatively and positively. Join this panel led by Â鶹´«Ã½ students from the Disability Resource Center to learn about their experiences in the classroom. This is a great opportunity to discuss teaching and learning with students!

Overcoming Barriers to Universal Design for Learning with Easy2Support Strategies for Success

In this webinar participants will learn about the theory behind Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and recognize the seven steps of UDL. After reflecting on personal concerns about building a course with UDL and professional barriers to UDL, participants will learn about quick strategies that they can implement to begin working towards a course based in the principles of UDL.
