Resources: Media - Legal Content
A variety of media clips showing legal content is provided below. These clips provide a deeper appreciation of semantic structure in ASL - how language users talk about and discuss legal matters - which increases knowledge of legal terminology in application. They also provide interpreting practice.
These media clips can be used in concert with two skill development activities: 1) Comprehension of ASL Legal Texts and 2) Text Analysis of Legal Texts. Both activities outline techniques to analyze legal texts.
Miner provides an ASL overview of this resource section and how it can be used.
