About PASC
The Professional Administrative Staff Council (PASC) was established in 1986 to advise the University on matters relevant to its constituents and to participate in University governance. It is the mission of the Council to advocate for and to provide a systematic means for professional staff to communicate with the various elements of the university community, as well as with other professional administrative staff.
PASC Committees
Executive Committee
The PASC Executive Commmittee is composed of Council Officers (Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary) and works to develop goals for the upcoming year, maintains the Council SharePoint site, and market the Council mission to the University community.
Communications Committee
The PASC Communications Committee is charged with keeping the PASC website updated, creating and submitting a monthly newsletter to all exempt employees, and maintaining Council social media outlets.
Grants & Scholarships
The PASC Grants & Scholarships Committee works with Â鶹´«Ã½ Financial Aid personnel to advertise and award scholarships, advertises and awards professional development grants to exempt administrative employees, and reviews scholarship applications and makes recommendations to the Council.
Campus Community Relations & Events
The PASC Campus Community Relations & Events Committee organizes networking or social events deemed appropriate by the Council and organizes fundraising opportunities to support the Council’s initiatives.
Purpose
The purpose of the Professional Administrative Staff Council is to:
- Serve as the representative body for professional administrative employees of the University of Northern Colorado and to participate in such policy matters of the institution as may affect its constituents.
- Function for the welfare of the university and for the employees it represents by proposing and undertaking education and service projects and actively participating in current developments and issues that are relevant to the professional administrative employees of the university.
- Function as an advisory and policy referral body to the university administration and to the professional administrative employees of the university.
- Each elected representative of PASC is assigned a group of professional administrative employees to solicit input from on university issues as appropriate. Representatives normally communicate via e-mail.
2024-2025 Goals
The PASC Goals for the 2024-2025 year are:
- Create awareness, enhance communication, collaboration, and engagement with professional administrative staff.
- Support PASC subcommittee goals which in turn support the Â鶹´«Ã½ professional administrative staff.
