Mission Statement

The Liberal Arts Council (LAC) represents and acts on behalf of the faculty in the governance of the Liberal Arts Curriculum. The Council promotes the value of the study of the liberal arts as the foundation of learning for all Â鶹´«Ã½ students, and works to ensure, through continuous assessment and improvements, that the course content and competency requirements continue to be met and that effective learning takes place across the curriculum.

A full description of the structure and duties of the Liberal Arts Council may be found in the Board of Trustees Policy Manual, 2-3-107(2).

The Council operates in accordance with the Bylaws of the Liberal Arts Council.
