FAMLI provides a portion of an employee's weekly salary for up to 12 weeks per 12-month period to care for themselves or a family member. Employee's may receive wage replacement of 40 to 90 percent of their wages. Â鶹´«Ã½ has opted to have SunLife reimburse us for approved wages for salaried employees. Hourly employees, including students or temporary employees, will receive approved wages directly from SunLife. Employees are eligible to use their available Â鶹´«Ã½ leave to make their salary whole while out on approved leave.

FAMLI benefits are primary to other leave benefits available to employees, such as parental leave or short-term disability. STD benefits will be reduced if the employee qualifies for FAMLI benefits. FAMLI benefits work concurrently with FMLA if the situation qualifies under FMLA guidelines.
