SOAR Office and Academic Probation Advising Updates

SOAR, formerly known as Major Exploration and Academic Probation (MEAP), has several updates regarding who the office serves and how academic probation advising is handled at Â鶹´«Ã½.

SOAR, formerly known as Major Exploration and Academic Probation (MEAP), has several updates regarding who the office serves and how academic probation advising is handled at Â鶹´«Ã½.

SOAR will continue to advise students who are Exploring, Seeking Music, Seeking Theatre and Seeking Musical Theatre. Additionally, SOAR now provides academic coaching to select first-year students, identified through the admission process as students who would benefit from additional academic supports. 

SOAR no longer advises Seeking Business students. Seeking Business students are now advised by the .

Academic probation advising and probation hold removal for declared majors are now handled by the individual colleges. SOAR advises probation students who are Exploring, Seeking Music, Seeking Theater, and Seeking Musical Theater.

Please refer students on probation to the correct college advising/success coaching office by using the below contact list. Whatever college the student’s major is housed in will determine which unit below will be able to advise them and remove their probation hold:
