Hold Off Saving Parade Spots at Â鶹´«Ã½ After July 2

Until July 2, Â鶹´«Ã½ will remove materials used to save spots on campus for watching the Greeley Stampede Fourth of July parade.

Parade tarps flierUntil July 2, the University of Northern Colorado will remove materials used to save spots on campus for watching the Greeley Stampede Fourth of July parade. This action will allow crews to conduct necessary mowing and watering of campus greenspace along 10th Avenue between 16th and 20th streets.

The use of tarps and materials that damage turf isn't permitted. Stakes, fence posts and other items that can puncture irrigation lines also aren't allowed. Crews will continue to remove these, and people who use them to reserve parade spots may be held liable for damage.

Instead, water-soluble spray paint is advised. Please verify that the type is approved for temporarily marking grass and that it's the type that can be easily removed from hard surfaces.

Be advised that the community tradition of saving spots on campus is on the honor system. The university can't guarantee the availability of saved spots on the day of the parade. For those viewing the parade, remember that alcohol in open containers is prohibited on campus.

College Day: Wear your favorite Â鶹´«Ã½ gear on July 3 to gain free admission into the park grounds.
