鈥淔or All the People: A century of Citizen Action in Health Care Reform/Para todo el pueblo: Un siglo de acci贸n ciudadana en la reforma de la atenci贸n de la salud鈥 traveling exhibit will be on display Aug. 26 - Oct. 5 during open hours in the Mari Michener Gallery, Michener Library.
Healthcare reform has been a contentious political issue in the United States for more than a hundred years. From the beginning of the 20th century to today, citizens have made their voices heard in the debates about whether and how to make quality health care available to all. This traveling exhibition, developed by the National Library of Medicine, tells the lesser-known story of how the movements of ordinary people helped shape the changing American healthcare system.
The exhibit is free and open to the public and is displayed in both English and Spanish.
