Campus Connections (CC) is recruiting undergraduate and graduate students to become mentors for the Spring 2024 semester. Campus Connections is a for-credit experiential mentorship program on campus that provides students the opportunity to engage with the community, build a mentoring relationship with local youth who require a supportive role model for the school semester, develop foundational counseling skills, move up in leadership roles, and create long lasting peer relationships.
Campus Connections mentors spend four hours once a week with their mentee in a group setting to provide academic support, career planning and positive social skill development.
Â鶹´«Ã½ student mentors assist youth with developing goals while providing an environment conducive to goal attainment. Campus Connections takes place entirely on Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s campus, providing exposure to campus and university life, thus allowing for youth to experience firsthand the possibilities of education and the value of learning.
