Residential Learning Communities
Education - 1st Floor South (Low)
North Hall is home to the Education Residential Learning Community, where students studying in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences or any student majoring in a subject seeking a teacher certification. Education RLC residents can engage with:
- School of Teacher Education faculty and staff
- Other residents who also have an interest in teaching
- Fun social events with other members of the community
Cumbres (Future CLD Teachers) - 1st Floor West (High)
North Hall is home to the Cumbres Residential Learning Community. Cumbres is a living and learning program for ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Bears who are planning to teach in K-12 schools and are working toward an English as a Second Language (ESL) or Bilingual/Bicultural endorsement. Cumbres RLC residents can engage with:
- Support and guidance through your first year on campus and help you adjust to college life as well as meet the requirements of the program
- Connect with like-minded students who are in Cumbres and also want to be teachers.
- Shared cohort classes, study times, and events
- Access to group study spaces
Nursing Exploring - 2nd Floor West (High)
North Hall is home to the Pre-Nursing Residential Learning Community. Pre-Nursing majors can study together and find connection through your shared classes and experience at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½. Residents in the Nursing Exploring RLC can engage with:
- Opportunities to connect and make friends with peers interested in nursing or related fields
- Forming study groups and attend workshops and network with upper-division Nursing student
- Access to group study spaces with other students interested in Nursing
Biology - 2nd Floor South (Low)
North Hall is home to the Biology Residential Learning Community. The Biology community is for students majoring in Biological Sciences at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ and residents can engage with:

- Participate in events and activities hosted by the Biology program
Outdoor Pursuits - 3rd Floor West (High)
North Hall is home to the Outdoor Pursuits Residential Learning Community, which brings together students who have a passion for the outdoors and give them an opportunity to explore new adventures together. Outdoor Pursuits RLC Residents can:
- Get priority access to opportunities to get off campus and into nature
- Check out ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½βs gear shop
- Find leadership experiences through the ropes course, OP trips, and workshops
Go On and Learn (GOAL) - 3rd Floor South (Low)
North Hall is home to the Go On and Learn (GOAL) Residential Learning Community. The RLC is in partnership with the GOAL program, an inclusive higher education program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to attend college.
Monfort College of Business - 4th Floor South (Low)
North Hall is home to the Monfort College of Business Residential Learning Community, which brings together Business students and is a space where students can:
- Academic and professional seminars and workshops
- Peer academic support
- Leadership opportunities and opportunities to develop connections with fellow business majors
Mindful Living - 4th Floor West (High)
North Hall is home to the Mindful Living Residential Learning Community, where students with an interest in mindful practice can find community with others sharing a similar mindset. Mindful Living RLC residents can:
- Collaborate with others who share an interest in mindful practice
- Interact with faculty and staff in the Center for Applied Contemplatives Studies
- Access mediation space with the Mindful Affinity Fellowship in North Hall
First Year Queer Living Community - 5th Floor South (Low)
North Hall is home to the Queer Living Community, a space where students who identify across the gender, sexual, and romantic identity spectrums are welcome to call this community home. Queer Living RLC residents can:
- Engage in open dialogue about identity
- Connect with staff in the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center
- Participate in education, advocacy, and support programs and events
